My name is José Blanco. I am from the northeast country of South America, Venezuela. I’ve been working on editorial for about 10 years. My first experience as photographer was at Amato Cañizales Producciones, where I started retouching photos, and doing some events like weddings, baptism, bar mitzvah etc…
Then I was working as journalist and designer at the main newspaper in my country, El Nacional. Specifically at two magazines, Eme and Todo en Domingo, it was an amazing experience!.. Working there, I found my real potencial as an artist, we created as a team the best pieces of arts ever (you can see those at the gallery)… that experience was my real school.
Now, I am the Art Director of Diario Las Américas. the main journal for the Latin community at Miami… it has been an awesome experience because I have the opportunity to keep in touch with different cultures, countries and of course flavours.
For me, it is really important to have fun, if you don’t enjoy the things that you are doing the results will be a total mess. In my editorial experience, I’ve designed books like El Legado de Don Armando (this book won the Special Award of the Jury at the Gourmand World Cookbook Award). Also, I participated on the conceptualisation of Romero (the chef hector Romero´s biography), shooting the cover and others portraits. At the same time, I was studying music as a lyric singer, that´s why the music have a big part of my heart.

“Tu n’es encore pour moi qu’un petit garçon tout semblable à cent mille petits garcons. Et je n’ai pas besoin de toi. Et tu n’as pas besoin de moi non plus. Je ne suis pour toi qu’un renard semblable à cent mille renards. Mais, si tu m’apprivoises, nous aurons besoin l’un de l’autre. Tu seras pour moi unique au monde. Je serai pour toi unique au monde”.
